Adult Classes

Aerial Method offer classes in aerial silks, lyra, hammock, sling, rope, dance trapeze, aerial choreography, aerial fitness, and flexibility.

Silks

Aerial silks comprise two long pieces of fabric that are mounted on a single point. Students learn different types of climbs, poses, wraps, and drops. 

Lyra

Lyra, also known as aerial hoop, is a circular steel apparatus that is hung by span sets on a single point or double points.  Students learn different forms of spinning and mounts, as well as moves and poses underneath, inside and on top of the lyra. 

 

Hammock

Hammock is a U-shaped fabric aerial apparatus that is mounted on a single point or double points.  Students develop skills in executing different types of spins and mounts, as well as wraps, poses and drops.

Dance Trapeze

Dance trapeze is a horizontal steel bar suspended by two ropes, which are hung on a single point. Students learn to perform various mounts, poses and wraps while spinning. 

 

Rope

Aerial rope, also known as corde lisse, is a vertically hanging rope. Students learn various poses, wraps and drops, some of which are performed while spinning. Students are encouraged to wear an ankle brace to protect their feet.

Aerial Fitness

Aerial Fitness is designed to increase strength and muscle stability using a combination of aerial apparatuses and unique floor exercises. Emphasis is placed on form and technique to ensure proper engagement of necessary muscle groups.

 

Flexibility

Flexibility class is designed to increase range of motion, and is beneficial for students of various levels of flexibility, including the non-flexible. The stretches involve use of apparatuses and floor exercises.  Emphasis is placed on proper form to optimize range of motion and prevent injury.

Aerial Fit/Flex

The Aerial Fit/Flex class is a combination of our aerial fitness and flexibility classes. The first half of the class focuses on exercises aimed to increase strength and muscle stability. The second half of class utilizes various forms of stretching to optimize range of motion and increase flexibility.
